Charlotte, NC -- The Wildcats faced off with a familiar foe Tuesday night at the Student Center.  Catawba Valley Community College, a nationally-ranked NJCAA team, handed the Wildcats a tough 3-0 loss.  The Wildcats played hard and kept pace with the Red Hawks at times during the match, but unforced errors by the Wildcats allowed too many easy points for CVCC.  Individual game scores were 25-9, 25-19, and 25-16.  

The loss takes JWU to 11-17 on the season.  The Wildcats were led by Sarah Slaughter with 7 kills and Lucy Herrmann with 4 kills and 3 solo blocks.  Sarah Slaughter also led the defensive effort with 9 digs while Summer Meredith and Jackie Clifford each had 6.

The Wildcats are at home on Thursday when they welcome Meredith College to the Student Center.  Game time is 7:00 PM.
