Hickory, NC -- The Johnson & Wales Wildcat Volleyball Team faced its toughest match of the season as it traveled to play Catawba Valley Community College Wednesday evening.  The Wildcats played well in spots, but it was not enough to overcome a towering front line and exceptional defense from the CVCC Redhawks.  With scores of 25-11, 25-10, and 25-17, CVCC took the match 3-0.  

The Wildcats (3-3) were led by Kylie Marquardt with 6 kills and 4 digs.  Hailey Thrift added 8 assists.  The team will enjoy a much-deserved break over the Labor Day weekend and return to action on September 4, when they will face Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC at 6:00 PM.  The Wildcats' first home match is September 9 at 7:00 PM.
