Spartanburg, SC -- The Johnson & Wales Wildcat Volleyball Team traveled to Spartanburg Methodist College to take on the Pioneers Tuesday night.  JWU has never beaten Spartanburg Methodist, but the team was ready to compete.  With the exception of the final game, all sets were highly contested, and the Wildcats played well as a team.  In the end, a few too many unforced errors and out-of-system plays led to the Wildcats' downfall, and Spartanburg Methodist took the match with scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, and 25-10.  

Johnson & Wales falls to 8-12 on the season.  The Wildcats were led by Kylie Marquardt with 15 kills and 12 digs.  Hailey Thrift had 27 assists, and Summer Meredith led the defense with 22 digs.  The Wildcats travel to Guilford Technical Community College on Thursday.  Game time is 7:00 PM.
