JWU Volleyball Wins at GTCC 3-0

Box Score

Jamestown, NC -- The Johnson & Wales Wildcat Volleyball Team posted a 3-0 win against Guilford Technical Community College Thursday night.  One of the best efforts on the year for the Wildcats, the team played well as a unit and made improvements to take control of the match.  Game scores were 26-24, 25-18, and 25-14.

The Wildcats were led by Kylie Marquardt with 14 kills and 12 digs.  Erika Ross and Lucy Herrmann contributed 6 kills each, and Reanna Bray had 5 kills and 2 blocks.  Summer Meredith turned in a great performance at libero, registering 21 digs and a perfect 16-for-16 serve receive effort.

JWU (9-12) will enjoy a well-deserved weekend off, and then they are back in action on Tuesday at Johnson C. Smith University.  The Wildcats will be looking to sweep the season series with JCSU for the fourth straight year, and they will need fan support to do it!  Game time is 7:00 PM.
