Box Score Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales volleyball team completed its season sweep of Laurel University on Tuesday, defeating the visitors in straight sets 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.
It was the third time the Wildcats (15-14) had played Laurel this year, with Johnson & Wales winning in straight sets all three meetings.
"It was a good team win for us tonight," said Wildcats head coach Callie Phillips. "We worked together and won as a team. We look forward to the homecoming tri-match on Friday."
Johnson & Wales was led once again by Mattie McGill, who posted a team high 12 kills and 13 digs. Halle Franklin added 26 assists and 10 digs.
The Wildcats resume play on Friday when they host Wake Tech Community College at 4:30 p.m. and Davidson County Community College at 7:30 p.m. in the Homecoming Tri-Match.
