Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales volleyball team split their season series with NCAA Division 2 rival Livingstone College, dropping a tight five-set affair by the scores of 25-20, 25-18, 11-25, 22-25, 15-17 on Tuesday.

The Wildcats (13-12) had previously won at Livingstone on Sept. 4 in straight sets, but were unable to close the door on the visitors this time around.

Joy Leonard led Johnson & Wales with 10 kills while Hailey Thrift picked up 25 assists.  Lucy Herrmann chipped in with six kills and seven digs.

The team will travel to Elizabeth City, NC, on Friday to play USCAA foe Mid-Atlantic Christian University.  The match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
