Daniel McElroy finished with a game high 28 points on 12-of-13 shooting for the visitors while Terry Williams chipped in with 17 points on a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor.
Rickey Porter and Deion Gilchrist led Johnson & Wales (1-1) with 15 points each. Porter led all players with seven rebounds.
Virginia-Lynchburg was clinical in the second half, hitting on 75 percent of their shots including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Five different players reached double figures on the night for the Dragons.
The Wildcats will resume play on Monday when they travel to Winston-Salem, NC, to play Piedmont International University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
