Box Score Dobson, NC - The Johnson & Wales Wildcats were on the road for the third time in four days taking on Surry CC, who had won 4 of their first 5 matches of the young season. The match was a tight, back and forth affair that saw the Wildcats (6-1) win the 2nd and 3rd games, while the Knights (5-1) prevailed in games one and four to force a deciding 5th game. The Wildcats came up 2 points short as Surry took game five 15-13, and the match 3 games to 2.
Lucy Herrmann led the Wildcats with 15 kills. Donna Harris dished out 31 assists, while Madison Steed contributed 5 blocks. Keri Ketchie, filling in for the injured Halle Franklin, recorded a team high 32 digs to go along with 2 aces. Freshman Johmillet Berrios continued her great play with 8 kills, 2 aces, 20 digs, and 4 blocks.
The team has a few days off before they are next in action Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Livingstone College for a 6pm match.
