Box Score Greenville, SC - The Johnson & Wales volleyball team won in four sets at Bob Jones University on Tuesday, claiming a 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-13 victory to snap a two game slide.
Freshman Johmillet Berrios led the Lady Wildcats (9-3) with 13 kills and 13 digs on the night, while Lucy Herrmann contributed with 11 kills and 12 digs.
"It was very nice to get back to ourselves tonight," said Johnson & Wales head coach Callie Phillips. "Bob Jones has a good team, but we were able to execute and make the plays on our side of the net when it counted. I'm proud of our effort and teamwork in bouncing back from a rough week last week. This is great momentum for us going into our USCAA tournament in Kentucky this weekend."
Toniya Scott chipped in with 11 kills of her own. Donna Harris posted 31 assists while Halle Franklin led the defensive effort with 22 digs.
The Lady Wildcats will resume play on Friday when they travel to Berea, KY, for the Berea College USCAA Battlefield Classic. The team will open play at 6:00 p.m. against Cincinnati Clermont.
