Volleyball Falls to Bob Jones on Senior Day

Box Score

Charlotte, N.C. - The USCAA #7 Johnson & Wales volleyball team had their senior night spoiled by visiting Bob Jones University on Thursday, falling in straight sets 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Toniya Scott and Johmillet Berrios each finished with seven kills for the Wildcats (16-12).

"Bob Jones had our number today," said head coach Callie Phillips.  "They came in with an effective game plan and executed well. We have to do a better job at adapting to challenges and making alterations to our approach. If we can learn from this lesson, we can use this as preparation for postseason if we get the opportunity."

Moana Reid had 24 assists on the evening while Kendall Watson led the Wildcats with 22 digs.

Johnson & Wales honored lone senior Madison Steed as part of the Senior Day festivities.

The Wildcast will now await a potential bid from the USCAA for the National Championships, scheduled to be held in Virginia Beach, Va.
