Box Score Concord, NC - Alcyone Moore posted a career high 28 points and eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the USCAA #19 Johnson & Wales men's basketball team lost 102-82 at Barber-Scotia College on Saturday.
Moore, a junior, finished 8-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and 9-of-10 from the line, to lead the Wildcats (7-16) in the losing effort.
Senior forward Rickey Porter added 23 points while freshman guard Chris Greer chipped in with a career high 10 points for the visitors.
Barber-Scotia was deadly from three-point territory all day, connecting on 17 attempts from beyond the arc. Both Jonathan Gaddy Jr. and Vladimir Noel finished 6-of-11 from deep, helping to stake Barber-Scotia a 22-point halftime lead.
Gaddy finished with a game high 35 points while Noel finished with 18 points.
The Wildcats will resume play on Tuesday when they host Piedmont International University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
