JWU Volleyball Puts in Commanding Performance in Sweep over Livingstone

Box Score

Charlotte, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales University volleyball team put in a commanding performance over NCAA D2 Livingstone on Tuesday, winning in straight sets 25-17, 25-19, 25-23 at the Wildcat Center.

The Wildcats (8-8) were led by Johmillet Berrios with 10 kills while Victoria Hicklin added seven kills.

Halle Franklin paced the attack with 20 assists while Moana Reid added 12.  Kendall Watson finished 29 digs.

"Our team is really starting to come together and play as a unit," said head coach Callie Phillips.  "I'm pleased with our aggressive play tonight and how we controlled the tempo.  We made big plays when we needed them and were able to handle this team in three sets when it took us five sets two and a half weeks ago.  I'm proud of our collective effort tonight."

The Wildcats will resume play on Sept. 28 when they host John Wesley University.  Play is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
