Box Score Charlotte, N.C. - The USCAA #3 Johnson & Wales women's basketball team capped a perfect 4-0 record in January with an 88-45 victory over Toccoa Falls on Tuesday at the Wildcat Center.
The Wildcats (12-4) committed a season-low eight turnovers while forcing Toccoa Falls into 29 turnovers, including 18 steals.
Vanderia Shackleford led all scorers with 20 points while Chase Muhammad added 17 points for Johnson & Wales. They were joined in double figures by Bianca Covington (12 points) and Justice Wallace (11 points).
Johnson & Wales set the tone early in the game, using a 13-2 run early in the first quarter to open up a 17-4 advantage. The Screaming Eagles would pull to within seven by the end of the quarter, but would never get any closer the rest of the way.
The Wildcats led by 14 at halftime and outscored Toccoa Falls 31-7 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Erin Cary led Toccoa Falls with 16 points and 11 rebounds on the evening.
Johnson & Wales will resume play on Thursday when it hosts Piedmont International University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Wildcat Center.
