Volleyball Drops Road Match To Bruins

Greenville, SC - The JWU Women's Volleyball Team took on Bob Jones University Friday night. The Wildcats fell to the Bruins in three sets.

BJU (19-5) took the first set, 25-15. The Wildcats (12-11) closed the gap in the second and third set, but fell in the end, 25-23 and 25-21.

JWU, currently ranked #3 in the USCAA D2 rankings, were led by Toniya Scott with 10 kills. Moana Reid had 19 assists to go with 11 digs. Kendall Watson recorded 14 digs.

Head Coach Callie Philips on the match: "Bob Jones is a very good team that tested us in all areas. We contested well in the last two sets, but we just couldn't push for a win. We'll keep working."

The Wildcats return to the court on Oct. 16 as they travel to Sandhills CC for a 7:00 pm match.
