Men's Basketball Drops Road Contest To Tigers

Box Score

Denmark, SC – The JWU Men's Basketball Team traveled to Voorhees College on Tuesday. The fast paced game saw the Wildcats fall at the end, 89-82.

JWU shot 40% from the three point line, and 42.9% overall. The Wildcats were out-rebounded by the Tigers (5-2) at 45-40, but JWU held the advantage in turnovers (18-20), steals (7-4), and assists (9-8).

"Tough night for our guys. Anytime you get in an up and down game it's going to come down to who makes plays down the stretch. Twice, we found ourselves down by double digits and both times we battled back to take the lead," said Head Coach Dan Larkin. "We're learning to finish games right now and once we figure that out everyone should be really excited to watch this team."

The Wildcats had five players score in double digits: Majerle Poole (13), Kajuan Madden-McAfee (13), Robert Hobson (13), Zyrion Wilkins (13), and Christian Creswell (10.) Malik Bullock led JWU (2-2) in rebounding with 7.

The Wildcats travel to play NCAA D1 UNC-Greensboro on Nov. 16 with a 7:00 pm tip-off.
