Wildcats Upset By Owls

Swannanoa, NC - The JWU Women's Basketball Team traveled to Warren Wilson College on Saturday in a match-up of EMAC teams. The Wildcats fell to WWC, 55-59.

On a night when both teams struggled from the field, free throws and bench scoring were the difference for WWC (3-7). #5 JWU went 8-14 from the free throw line compared to 15-23 for the Owls and were outscored by the Warren Wilson's bench, 21-13. 

Ineesha Hankerson led JWU (2-3) with 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Bianca Covington and Chase Muhammad both chipped in 10 points each, with Covington contributing 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Wildcats host another EMAC opponent, Mid-Atlantic Christian University on Dec. 7 at 6:00 pm.
