Wildcats Run Winning Streak to Seven, Defeat Bob Jones 73-51

Box Score

Greenville, S.C. - The USCAA #2 Johnson & Wales women's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven with a 73-51 win at Bob Jones University on Tuesday.

Four different players reached double figures for the Wildcats (15-4), as Jaquana Pauling, Jada Morgan, and Ineesha Hankerson tied for a game high 12 points on the evening.

Bianca Covington flirted with a quadruple-double for Johnson & Wales, finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and seven steals in arguably her most complete performance of the season.

Hankerson also set a school record with eight blocks on the night, consistently frustrating a smaller Bob Jones team in the post.  Johnson & Wales held a 20-8 advantage in second chance points and a 26-12 advantage in points in the paint.

The host Bruins struggled to solve the Wildcats defense throughout the game.  Bob Jones shot just under 34 percent on the night and connected on just 5-of-25 attempts from deep, while committing 29 turnovers

Sha'Ron Brunson led the Bruins with 11 points.

Johnson & Wales will resume play on Friday when it hosts USCAA #5 Warren Wilson College.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
