Box Score Bluefield WV - The JWU women's basketball team traveled to Bluefield State College on Wednesday. The Wildcats couldn't overcome the tough shooting night and dropped the game, 56-49.
Highlights:
- JWU held the Big Blues to 35% shooting, but could only manage 27% for themselves.
- JWU lost the points in the paint battle, 28-16.
- The Wildcats out-rebounded Bluefield State 45-28, and outscored BSC 20-3 on second chance points.
- Bianca Covington and Ineesha Hankerson scored 13 points each for the Wildcats.
- Hankerson added 15 rebounds while Covington chipped in 14.
- JWU moves to 6-6 on the season.

"In a game like this it comes down to a few plays here and there that make a difference," commented Interim Head Coach Aram Parunak after the game. "I have to do a better job of putting our players in a position to be successful while at the same time helping them understand that every decision matters."
