Box Score Sumter, SC - The JWU women's basketball team traveled to Morris College on Monday for a non-conference matchup. Thanks to some hot shooting, the Wildcats claimed the road victory, 68-65.
Highlights:
- JWU trailed 65-64 with 25 seconds left in the game, but Jada Morgan hit two free throws to give the Wildcats the lead.
- The Wildcats shot 50% from the field, their highest percentage of the season.
- JWU converted 23-46 from the field, including 3-8 from three.
- The Wildcats also went 19-25 from the free throw line.
- The Hornets (2-12) out-rebounded JWU, 37-33, and won the turnover battle, 25-9.
- Chase Muhammad and Ineesha Hankerson scored 19 points each for the Wildcats. Justice Wallace added 10.
- Hankerson grabbed 9 rebounds to lead JWU.
- Sixth ranked JWU moves to 11-7 on the season.

Interim Head Coach Aram Parunak on the game: "Our effort was really good tonight. We certainly didn't play our best, but we made big plays when we needed to. It's been a really tough stretch of games for us, but we still found a way to prevail."
