Women's Basketball Pulls Away From Voorhees

Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales women's basketball team improved to 3-0 with an 80-67 win over Voorhees on Tuesday night.

Highlights:
  • The Wildcats shot a season-high 44.3% from the field and forced the Tigers into 28 turnovers.
  • JWU led by as many as 7 in the second quarter, but Voorhees rallied to trail by only 3 at intermission.
  • The Wildcats built an 8 point advantage after three quarters, and were never seriously threatened from that point.
  • Jordan McDuffie scored a career-high 25 points on 9 of 19 shooting, including 4-8 three pointers. She also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
  • Ke'Airra Gregory came off the bench to score 18 points, also a career-high, going 6-8 from the field, and 6-7 at the free throw line.
  • Tanaeschia Dorsey scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
  • Jayla Lovett had 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, while Jordan Durant tallied 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
