How It Happened:
- Trailing 13-12 with 4:00 left in the first quarter, JWU used a 12-1 run to take a ten point lead, 24-14 after one period. The Wildcats shot 66.7 % (12-18) from the field in the quarter.
- JWU extended the lead to 19 at 36-17, before Bob Jones scored 13 of the final 17 points to trail by 10 at the break, 40-30.
- The Bruins whittled away at the JWU lead in the third quarter, eventually going ahead themselves 55-54, on a Delaney Edwards layup with 1:59 left in the quarter.
- The Wildcats got six points from Jordan McDuffie in those final two minutes to help them nose back in front 62-58 after three periods.
- JWU opened the fourth with a 7-0 run, pushing their lead to a comfortable margin of 69-58.
- The Bruins would get no closer than the 77-69 final margin.
