Box Score Rocky Mount, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Volleyball team saw their win streak snapped at two, as they fell to NC Wesleyan on Thursday night. The Battling Bishops (7-3) swept the Wildcats in three sets, 25-14, 25-23, 25-9.
Emily Arends led JWU (6-3) on the night with 6 kills and 6 digs. Kaitlin Jaromin added 5 kills and 1 solo block. Niecee Perofeta tallied 12 assists, while Lynasia Felder totaled 11 digs.
"Today's match showed our areas for improvement for sure," commented Coach Phillips postgame. "The scores do not reflect our effort, but they do reflect our inability to execute consistently tonight. We played a team that was playing very, very well and will learn from this moving forward."
The Wildcats are off until Tuesday, 9/21 when they travel to Salisbury to take on Livingstone in a 7pm match.
