Box Score Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte Volleyball opened their 2021 home schedule on Thursday afternoon as they welcomed in Louisburg College for the second of two early season meetings between the two teams. JWU beat Louisburg 3-0 on 8/26, and repeated the feat again yesterday.
The Wildcats (4-1) used a potent and varied offensive attack to overcome the Hurricanes (0-2). Four different players recorded at least 4 kills in the match. Niecee Perofeta had 4 service aces in the effort as well. The Wildcats defense was equally as stout. Five Wildcats had at least 6 digs as the team piled up 52 in total for the match.
Individually, Emily Arends led the way with 7 kills and 8 digs. Demya Scott recorded 6 kills and 9 digs, while Isabelle Lemaster had 4 kills, a service ace, and two block assists. Perofeta and Logan Smith tallied 11 assists apiece, and Lynasia Felder paced JWU with 17 digs.
The Wildcats are off for a week before they hit the road to take on Pfieffer University on Thursday, 9/9 for a 7pm match.
