Swannanoa, NC - Johnson & Wales remained perfect in Eastern Metro Athletic Conference openers, defeating Warren Wilson 89-74 on Wednesday night.

How It Happened:

• The Wildcats raced out to a 43-30 lead at halftime despite not having played since December 22nd.
• JWU kept Warren Wilson at an arms length of between 9 and 13 points for much of the second half before the Owls briefly cut the JWU advantage to seven at 66-59 with 7:10 left.
• JWU responded with 4 straight points and were never seriously threatened the rest of the game.

Key Stats:

• JWU improves to 5-8 overall and 1-0 in the EMAC, while Warren Wilson drops to 2-8 overall, and 1-1 in the EMAC.
