Box Score Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball team defeated Apprentice School 88-64 on Sunday afternoon.
JWU knocked down 9 of 18 three pointers in the second and third quarters to forge a 16 point advantage over the Builders after 30 minutes. The Wildcats tied a school record with 13 three pointers in the game, while Victoria Boddie set a single game school record with seven 3 point baskets. The Wildcats also enjoyed a 58-42 edge on the glass, which led to 16 second chance points.
Boddie set a new career-high with 25 points on 9 of 15 shooting, including 7 of 13 from three point range. She also added 7 assists. Jayla Lovett tied a career-high, also scoring 25 points on the afternoon. She made 4 three pointers in addition to grabbing 4 rebounds and handing out 4 assists. Jordan Durant posted a double-double with 12 point and 10 rebounds, while adding 6 assists and 4 steals. Joyiah White had 6 points and 12 rebounds.
