Greenville, SC - Bob Jones withstood a furious Johnson & Wales Charlotte second half rally to post an 87-82 win on Tuesday night.

How It Happened:

• The first twelve minutes of the first half proved to be a back and forth affair with neither team leading by more than four points.
• Bob Jones used a 12-0 run over the next 3:35 to open up a 36-25 lead.
• Still down eleven with two minutes to play in the half, the Wildcats used an 8-2 run of their own to cut their halftime deficit to just 42-37.
• The Bruins exploded out of the locker room, outscoring JWU 24-8 over the first six and a half minutes of the second half to open up a twenty one point advantage.
• The Wildcats slowly whittled away at the Bob Jones lead, getting it to just four with five minutes to play.
• Four subsequent empty possessions for the Wildcats allowed the Bruins to rebuild a nine point edge.
• JWU again rallied, cutting the lead to just two with 30 seconds left, but the Bruins scored 5 points on their next three possessions to seal the win.
