How It Happened:
- The Wildcats grabbed a three point lead after 10 minutes, shooting 50% from the field, making three 3 pointers, and going 5-5 at the free throw line.
- After briefly trailing by as many as eight, Carolina U. pulled to within two points at the half as they outscored JWU 14-8 over the last four minutes of the second quarter.
- The Bruins took a three point lead midway through the third quarter, but the Wildcats answered to take a three point lead after thirty minutes, helped by 10 points from Jayla Lovett in the quarter.
- The fourth quarter was a slog, as Carolina shot 30% and committed 7 turnovers. JWU failed to take advantage, however, missing 13 of their 15 field goal attempts.
- Joyiah White's putback with 23 seconds left knotted the score at 66.
- The Bruins' Ashley Roberts was fouled grabbing an offensive rebound on the next possession and made one of two free throws to give CU the winning margin.
