Box Score Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball team topped the century mark for the second time in three games with a 100-74 win over Warren Wilson on senior night.
How It Happened:
- Despite falling behind 6-2 early in the period, the Wildcats raced out to a 30-15 advantage after the first quarter. JWU made 3 of 7 three pointers and went 11 of 14 at the free throw line in the stanza.
- The Owls briefly cut the lead to 10 early in the second quarter, but JWU used a 17-6 run to take their largest lead of the half, 48-27 with 100 seconds left before half.
- Warren Wilson whittled the Wildcat lead to 12 over the first six minutes of the third quarter until Jordan Durant hit a three pointer and grabbed a steal and converted it into a layup on consecutive possessions to put JWU back up by seventeen.
- The Wildcats put it on cruise control from that point, hitting 100 points on a Victoria Boddie triple with thirty-two seconds left.
