Sumter, SC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball team got off to a fast start en route to an 88-51 win over Morris College on Thursday night.

How It Happened:

• The Wildcats raced out to a 24-6 lead after 10 minutes, paced by 12 points from Jordan Durant. JWU forced 9 Hornet turnovers, and shot 50% from the field.
• Morris trimmed one point off the Wildcat lead in the second quarter, as JWU committed 10 turnovers and cooled off to 24% shooting in the period.
• The Wildcats outscored Morris 49-29 in the final 20 minutes behind 12 points from Sydney Wells.

Key Stats:

• Each of the ten Wildcats made at least one field goal.
• JWU recorded a season-high 25 assists, assisting on 64% of their made shots.
• The Wildcats outrebounded Morris 72-28. 
• Morgan Noil set a new school record with 11 assists, to go along with 7 points and 5 rebounds.
• Jordan Durant had game highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds.
• Makiya McDaniel scored a career-high 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
• Sydney Wells and Joyiah White combined for 20 points and 16 rebounds.
• Victoria Boddie and Jayla Lovett added 11 points each.
