Box Score Charlotte, NC - Cleveland Community College defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte in four sets on Thursday night.
The Yetis jumped out early, building a 15-11 lead in the first set, before going on to win 25-17. Cleveland CC continued their ascent in the second set behind the strong hitting of Chandler Jerome and the serving of Daniela Castillo. They went on to win the set 25-11.
The Wildcats would not go quietly. They rallied to take the lead in the third set at 10-9, and extended that lead to 20-13 late in the set. Kills by

Logan Smith keyed the third set surge. JWU would eventually take the third 25-17.
JWU looked poised to force a deciding set in the early stages of the fourth. They led 15-12 when Cleveland CC rallied to knot the score at 15, and would go on to win 10 of the next 16 points to take the set 25-21, and win the match 3-1.
The Wildcats are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Rock Hill, SC to participate in a tri-match against Pensacola Christian College and host Clinton College.
