Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's basketball crested the 100 point mark for the first time this season with a 103-62 win over Blue Lights College on Saturday afternoon.
The temperature was frigid outside, but the Wildcats scorched the nets to the tune of 55.7% shooting, and 52.4% from the three point line. JWU jumped out to a 27-11 lead in the first ten minutes and were never threatened the rest of the way. The final margin of 103-62 proved to be the Wildcats' largest lead of the game.
Each of the ten Wildcats that saw action scored at least three points, and nine of the ten made at least one field goal. Six different JWU players made a three pointer.
Jaben Mars led the Wildcats with 24 points, while
Nathan Meshida added 21 points and 6 assists.
Ethan Smith scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Jaylen Benson-Hollinhead posted his sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 boards.
Cameron Lawson dished out 7 assists, tying the single game high for the season.Â
The Wildcats next travel to Virginia Beach, VA on Friday, January 26th to take on Regent University at 6:00pm.Â
