Columbia, SC - Allen University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 3-0 on Thursday night.

After falling 25-3 in the first set, the Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second. The two teams battled back and forth throughout the period, and were tied at 19 late in the stanza. Allen was on the verge of taking the set at 24-20 before JWU got a service error followed by a kill from Erica Rawlings to pull within two points at 24-22. Allen got the final point of the set on the next service. The Yellow Jackets won the final set 25-13.

Rawlings led JWU with 6 kills. Loshi Ward had 15 kills. Chanel Garcia recorded 17 digs. 

Johnson & Wales returns home on Thursday, October 24th when they host Paine College at 6pm.
