Lynchburg, VA - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte volleyball team wrapped up the road portion of their 2024 schedule by participating in a tri-match at Randolph College on Saturday.
The Wildcats fell 3-0 in the day's first match to the host Wildcats. 
Gabrielle Bazile led JWU with 5 kills, while 
Kalin Lincoln added four more. 
Loshi Ward had 15 assists, while 
Chanel Garcia recorded 14 digs.
JWU won the opening set against Regent in the second match. 
Erica Rawlings had consecutive kills to close out the stanza 25-19 in favor of the Wildcats. After the Royals won the second set 25-12, the teams battled back and forth in the third. Leading 21-20, Regent scored the final four points of the set to take a 2-1 lead in the match. 
The Wildcats trailed by as many as five points in the fourth set, but closed to within one at 22-21 before Regent closed the match with three straight points.
Rawlings, Bazile, and 
Mikayla Seymour-Tucker each had 9 kills in the second match. Ward dished out 28 assists and tallied 20 digs. Ayanna Portillo and 
JaMia McCoy combined for 25 digs in the match.
JWU concludes the regular season on Tuesday, October 29th when they host Erskine at 6pm.
