Corapolis, PA - 5th seeded NHTI used a first half goal to defeat 4th seeded Johnson & Wales Charlotte 1-0 in USCAA National Championships pool play on Friday afternoon.
The Lynx's Piper Flood headed a ball into the far corner of the goal twenty-two minutes into the game in what would prove the be the game's lone tally. JWU outshot NHTI 12-4, but could not dent the Lynx goal as Hailey Knight made 5 saves.
Katie Douglas led the Wildcats with 3 shots.
Johnson & Wales takes on top seeded Cincinnati-Clermont at 6:15pm on Saturday in their final pool play game.
