Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Morris College 70-45 in women's basketball on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats used a 16-5 second quarter run to break a 19-19 tie and never looked back. JWU held Morris to just 26.8% shooting and forced 29 Hornet turnovers. Eight different Wildcats recorded at least one assist and JWU made a season-high 9 three point shots.
De'Ashaj Crawford came off the bench to score 16 points.
Kyrah Davis made 3 three pointers en route to 12 points.
Jordan Durant nearly had a triple-double, posting 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 steals.
Maliah Preston had 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Wildcats are in Rock Hill, SC on Tuesday to play an exhibition game against Winthrop at 11:00am.
