Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team opened the 2024 home season with a scoreless draw against Columbia (SC) on a steamy Saturday afternoon at OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.

The Wildcats outshot the Koalas 14-5, but could not push a shot past Columbia goalkeeper Brayden Garcia. JWU's best chance to score came in the sixtieth minute when Lucas Lesh collected a pass just in front of goal, but dragged his shot wide. Eugenio de la Parra Polina led the Wildcats with 6 shots, while Lesh added 3. 

JWU is next in action on Friday, September 6th when they travel to Wilmington to face off against Cape Fear Community College. Game time is 4:00pm.
