Charlotte, NC - Visiting Cleveland Community College remained perfect Thursday night with a 3-1 win over Johnson & Wales Charlotte.
The Yetis started quickly, jumping out to a 10-4 lead in the first set. They held the Wildcats at bay for the rest of the set, winning 25-21. CCC broke open a tight second set with an 11-4 run in the middle of the period to distance themselves from JWU, ultimately winning 25-15. The Wildcats fought back in the third, scoring seven straight points to close the set with a 23-18 win. The Yetis ultimately closed out the match in the fourth, besting JWU 25-17.
Gabrielle Bazile led the offense with 9 kills, while
Erica Rawlings added 6 more.
Loshi Ward handed out 26 assists to go along with 12 digs.
Chanel Garcia had 15 digs.Â
JWU is next in action on Tuesday, September 24th, when they make the return trip to Shelby, NC to take on Cleveland Community College.
