Spartanburg, SC - Spartanburg Methodist rallied in the fourth quarter to knock off Johnson & Wales Charlotte 72-71 on Wednesday night.

The game was nip and tuck throughout the first half, as neither team led by more than 5 points. Jordan Durant scored the last 6 points of the half to pull the Wildcats to within one of the Pioneers, 35-34 after twenty minutes.

JWU closed the third quarter on an 8-5 run to take a 3 point lead to the final period, 58-55. The Wildcats extended their lead to 7 points early in the fourth, only to see Spartanburg Methodist rally with an 8-0 run. JWU briefly re-took the lead with four and a half minutes to play, but the Pioneers ultimately prevailed as De'Ashaj Crawford's last second three pointer was off the mark.

Durant was one of three Wildcats to post a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Gabby Tapley (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Laken Powe (12 points, 13 rebounds) were the other two. Crawford had 11 points and 7 assists.
