Greenville, S.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Bob Jones 3-1 in men's soccer on Friday night.

The host Bruins broke out on top in the twenty-fifth minute when Noah Burkett fired a shot that beat Wildcat keeper Cooper Jason. JWU responded nine minutes later when NIklas Seguin fired a shot on goal that was turned in by a Bob Jones player.

The Wildcats took the lead in the second half as Cody Gomez served a precise pass into the six yard box that Jacobo Arias headed into the far corner. Justin Ortiz addded an insurance tally in the last two minutes for the 3-1 margin.

Bob Jones outshot the Wildcats 12-9, but Cooper made 6 saves to keep the hosts at bay.

JWU next travels to Davidson, N.C. to take on Davidson College on October 15th at 7pm.
