Demorest, Ga. - Host Piedmont University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 3-0 in women's soccer on Sunday afternoon.

Piedmont broke on top early in the match, scoring in the twelvth minute when Lora Kim's strike deflected off a JWU defender into the goal. The Lions would add a penalty kick goal ten minutes into the second half before closing the scoring with a third goal in the game's final minute.

JWU was held to just five shots, three by Hannah Greene. Zoe Balmer made 4 saves in goal.

The Wildcats next travel to Front Royal, Va. on Saturday, October 11th for a 2:30pm kickoff.
