Newport News, Va. - Hood College defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 101-72 at the Captains' Shootout on Tuesday evening.

Highlights:

• The Blazers knocked down ten 3 pointers in the first half, and went 16-36 from the three point line for the game.
• Hood connected on 54.2% of their field goal attempts in the game, and outrebounded JWU by 11.
• The Wildcats assisted on 21 of their 30 made field goals.
• JWU got 42 points off the bench, led by a career-high 15 points from Bryson Demby.
• Cooper Wiley posted a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
