Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Methodist 68-46 on Friday night.
After each team scored nine points in the first quarter, the Wildcats more than doubled that output in the second, using a 19-10 run to take a 28-19 halfime advantage.
Kyrah Davis scored 13 of her 17 points in the first half.
Sydney Wells took charge in the second twenty minutes. She scored 16 of her season-high 19 points in the final twenty minutes, including converting four of her seven three point attempts. JWU held Methodist to just 27.5% shooting in the half.
Laylah Toscano grabbed 16 rebounds, and shared the team lead in assists with
Maliah Preston, as each handed out a half dozen.
JWU wraps up the 2025 portion of their home schedule on Wednesday, December 10th as they host Ferrum for a 6:00pm tipoff.
