Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball's Rally Comes Up Short

Front Royal, VA - Host Christendom College defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 72-61 on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders used a 7-2 un over the final two and a half minutes of the first half to forge a five point halftime lead, 33-28. They then sprinted out of the gates to start the second half, building their lead to seventeen points with 15:27 to play.

The Wildcats used their defense to get back into the game, holding Christendom scoreless from the 14:00 mark to the 9:55 mark of the half, cutting their deficit to 5 during that stretch. Two Ethan Smith free throws with 4:51 left knotted the score at 57. Unfortunately, the Wildcats went cold from that point, scoring just 4 points the rest of the game.

Malcolm Warthem led the Wildcats with 11 points, while Nathan Meshida had 10 points off the bench.

JWU's season is complete.
