Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's volleyball head coach
Moana Reid is excited to announce Kyra Musingi as the third member of the 2025 recruiting class.
Musingi is a 5'3" setter that graduated from Idaho Falls High School in Idaho Falls, ID in 2022. She was a part of 37 wins for the Tiger volleyball teams during her career. She earned three varsity letters at IFHS, and was a team captain.
She is the daughter of Cristal and Michael Musingi and plans to major in Health Science at Johnson & Wales. The small, tight knit Wildcat community was what drew Musingi to choose JWU. "Playing college ball has always been a dream of mine. I am truly grateful that JWU is the school to it come true!" She was a member of the student council in high school, and graduated with honors.
Coach Reid is thrilled to have a player with Musingi's intangibles become a member of the team. "Kyra brings a dynamic to our team that I think will continue to push us forward. From our first conversation she has maintained the same attitude and drive that I think will benefit her not only as a volleyball player but as a person. Her energy is contagious and makes the people around her better. Her experiences thus far have prepared her to be an outstanding student and addition to our program. I am super excited to have her join us in the fall!"
