Fayetteville, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team kicked off their 2025 campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Methodist on Friday evening.
The hosts struck early, Carson Stretz found teh back of the net in the fourteenth minute to put the Monarchs in front. Methodist's Steven Floyd added a second goal twelve minutes after halftime.
JWU was held to just four shots in the game, with
Cody Gomez's effort the only one on frame.
Jackson Acker made two saves for the Wildcats.
Next up for JWU is a trip to Columbia (SC) College on Wednesday, September 3rd for a 5:00pm game.
