Harrisonburg, Va. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team wrapped up a two game weekend road trip with a 2-2 draw against Eastern Mennonite on Saturday afternoon.
The Royals struck early in the match, taking the lead just four minutes into the match on a goal by Hamidullah Tokhi. The Wildcat defense stiffened after the early goal, as EMU fired eight shots over hte next fifty-five minutes. In the 62nd minute, JWU got its first goal from the run of play this season as
Niklas Seguin scored off an assist by
Eugenio de la Parra Polina.
Alan Ramirez added to that total just nine minutes later to put JWU ahead 2-1. EMU found the back of the net with less than five minutes remaining in the match to forge the tie, as Oliver Rivera netted for the hosts.
Cooper Jason made 8 saves for the Wildcats. de la Parra Polina led JWU with 3 shots.
JWU next travels to North Greenville for a 6:00pm match on September 9th.
