Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Virginia University of Lynchburg 94-82 in men's basketball on Friday evening.
 

Highlights:

• JWU made seven first half 3 pointers while VUL went just 1-8 from deep in the first half, helping the Wildcats to a 48-37 lead at the break.
• VUL used a 24-9 run over the first ten minutes of the second half to take a four point lead at 61-57.
• The Dragons would lead by as many as 6 points with just under 8 minutes to play, before the WIldcats closed with a flourish, scoring 30 points the rest of the game, while holding VUL to just 12.

• The Wildcats forced 16 Dragon turnovers and outrebounded VUL by three.
• JWU made a season-high twelve 3 pointers.
• Cooper Wiley led all scorers with 27 points, and added 9 rebounds.
• Nantambu Calhoun tallied 15 points, including a team-high three 3 pointers.
• Ethan Smith posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
