Charlotte, N.C. - Brevard College defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 78-74 in men's basketball on Tuesday evening.
 

Highlights:

• Brevard used a 7-3 run over the final 3:42 of the first half to take a 40-33 lead at the break.
• A Nantambu Calhoun three pointer five minutes into the second half gave JWU their first lead of the period at 48-46.
• The Tornados responded with a 25-8 run to take their largest lead of the game, 71-56 with 7:27 remaining.
• JWU twice got within four points in the game's final minute, but could get no closer.

• Brevard shot 60.7% from the field in the first half, and 56.1% for the game.
• JWU outrebounded the Tornados 40-34.
• Cole Callaway had a career-high 26 points, making 9 of 15 field goals and 8 of 12 free throws.
• Calhoun and Cooper Wiley scored 11 points each.
