Pineville, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Greensboro College 1-0 in women's soccer on Wednesday night.
JWU was held to just five shots, only two of which were on frame. They made the most of their chances, as
Azalianna Absalom ran onto the end of a
Hannah Greene free kick and slotted it home to give the Wildcats the lead in the twelfth minute. JWU's defense made that goal stand up, as they faced fifteen Pride shots on the evening, with goalkeeper
Zoe Balmer making six saves.
Greene led the Wildcats with two shots. She is now tied with Absalom for the team lead with three assists this season.
JWU is back in action at home on Tuesday, October 20th when they welcome in N.C. Wesleyan for a 6:00pm match.
