Pineville, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer team defeated Warren Wilson 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
JWU jumped on top in the fifteenth minute when
Hannah Greene found a streaking
Azalianna Absalom in the middle of the field. Absalom avoided onrushing Warren Wilson goalkeeper Nassie Robinson, and rolled the ball across the goal line.
Olivia Kieffer doubled the Wildcat Advantage five minutes before halftime as she finished after an assist from
Elliette Kinney.Â
The JWU defense made that lead stand up, allowing only two shots to the Owls on the evening.
Zoe Balmer and
Allison Bryman combined for the shutout in goal.Â
The Wildcats wrap up the regular season on Saturday, October 31st, when they welcome Regent for a 1:00pm kickoff. It will be Senior Day for five Wildcat players, and the game will be held at Bradford Preparatory School in Charlotte.
